WALKER, LA (WAFB) -

Police and managers at a car dealership are asking for help catching truck thieves.

According to managers at Boardwalk Motors in Walker, someone damaged several trucks while trying to steal them.

"It makes me feel violated," said general manager Jay Smith. "I just don't know why people have to commit crimes. I think the best of everybody. I don't think the worst of anybody. I just don't understand."

After their initial attempt at stealing trucks failed, those responsible then broke into the office to get keys and drove off in two diesel four-by-fours.

The dealership is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

If you can help, call Crime Stoppers at 344-7867.
