WBC Volleyball clinches another 20 win season

For the third consecutive year, the Williams Baptist College volleyball team has posted at least 20 victories in a season. It is also the sixth time in the last seven seasons for the Lady Eagles to hit the 20-victory mark.

The Williams squad split a pair of matches this weekend in Columbia, Missouri. The squad defeated Stephens College on Friday night in four sets (23-25, 27-25, 25-22, 25-21) and fell to Columbia University (15-25, 14-25, 13-25) on Saturday.

Individually for WBC, Kaillie Ralston led the Eagles attack with 16 kills. Harley Strayhorn added 14 kills and Jameea Ward contributed with 11 kills. Makenna Wiedower paced the offense with 29 assists and Jordan Harvey tallied 25 assists.

Shelby Upshaw led the defense with 34 digs. Harvey and Wiedower tallied 19 digs, respectively and Strayhorn added 8 blocks.

The games marked the end of the regular season for the volleyball Eagles. WBC has clinched the sixth seed in the American Midwest Conference tournament.

Williams will travel to St. Louis to take on third seed Missouri Baptist. The contest is scheduled to start at 7 p.m., on Tuesday, November 12th.
