Bethel Wildcats edge by WBC Eagles in double-overtime thriller

From Williams Baptist College

Tuesday night saw the Williams Baptist College men's basketball team erase a 12-point halftime deficit against Bethel University, which would send the game into two overtimes.  The Wildcats would eventually out-score WBC 16-10 in the second overtime to escape with a 114-108 victory in McKenzie, Tenn.

Five Eagles would score enough to reach double figures in the contest. James McClain led Williams with 27 points, E.J. Rucker followed with 24 points, Chris Price added a double-double with 19 points and 10 assists, Kevin Charles contributed with 16 points and Tevin Howard rounded out the attack with a double-double of his own, posting 15 points and 14 rebounds.

Five Wildcats also reached double figures, led in scoring by Gary Pollard's 25-point performance.

WBC is now 3-1 on the season. The next scheduled match for the Eagles is a home contest against 14th-ranked John Brown University. The contest is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start on Saturday, November 16, in WBC's Southerland-Mabee Center.
