Multiple crews respond to Smith Co. house fire

The Tyler Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire at 3615 Old Bullard Road. The call was received at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. The caller reported that a clothes dryer in the home was on fire inside the home.

When firefighters arrived, they noted smoke inside the home and upgraded the response to a second alarm. A total of eight fire crews responded to the blaze.

There were two adults in the home at the time of the fire. No injuries have been reported, but the home suffered extensive damage.

Investigators with the Tyler Fire Marshal's Office also responded to the scene and will investigate the origin and cause of the fire. The American Red Cross has been notified to assist the occupants.
