MAUMEE, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A fast food joint has opened in Maumee, and brought some new jobs along with it.

The new Steak Escape on Conant Street is right next to Deet's BBQ and Tropical Smoothie. The restaurant is the second in the area – the location at the Franklin Park Mall has been in business more than 22 years - and the manager says he's excited to be in Maumee.

"Maumee is a great community," said Mike Judge. "Everyone has been so nice since we started building here, even the people next door are saying, ‘You're going to do great here.'"

The restaurant brought in 22 new jobs to Maumee, as well.
