FAYETTEVILLE (ArkansasRazorbacks.com) - University of Arkansas head football coach Bret Bielema met with members of the media Monday to recap the team's bye week and preview the upcoming matchup against Mississippi State in Little Rock on Saturday.
"Being our last home game, going to Little Rock for the second time, we've got a lot of players from the state and this means a lot to them," Coach Bielema said. "It's a team that I think has improved over the last several games that is beginning to buy into what we're doing more and more. Hopefully that's going to come through in a big way on Saturday."
With only two games remaining this season, Coach Bielema said the Razorbacks are motivated and ready to go out and finish on a high note.
"I think our guys know what's at stake," Coach Bielema said. "They want to win an SEC football game as bad as anybody. I think when you get at this point it's all about pride. It's all about what you're willing to do to sacrifice and change the result of what you've been doing."
Coach Bielema discussed what winning would mean to the Arkansas football program moving forward. More importantly, Coach Bielema expressed his interest in sending the senior class out in a favorable fashion.
"I'm not oblivious to the fact and know what a win will do," Coach Bielema said. "This is the last chance for us to play in Arkansas and a chance to give our seniors a win in front of their families."
Kickoff between Arkansas and Mississippi State is scheduled for 11:21 a.m. Saturday inside War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock. The game will be televised on KAIT.
