WKU student from Louisville dies after fall

BOWLING GREEN, KY (WAVE) - A Western Kentucky University student from Louisville died Sunday after suffering a fall in Bowling Green.

Melanie Reichert, 19, was walking down a flight of stairs at a house in the 1200 block of Park Street in Bowling Green on Saturday when she either missed a step or fell, according to Warren County Coroner Kevin Kirby. Reichert died at a hospital the following day.

An autopsy is being performed in Louisville on Tuesday to determine the cause of death. Kirby said it would take several weeks to get toxicology results back.
