Police find drugs inside man's shoes

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A man was arrested on Friday night after Jonesboro policefound a small bag containing drugs in each of his shoes.

According to the policereport, an officer pulled over a car with three people on the intersection ofSouth Caraway and Parker Road.

When running the names ofthe people inside the car through dispatch, they found Caroline Barris, 34, hada warrant out of Independence County.

The officer asked the manin the back seat, Cordarryl Coleman, 27, to step out of the car for a search.After searching Coleman, officers asked everyone else to step out and a K9continued the search of the vehicle.

The K9 found a digital scale in thebackseat of the car. Police then searched Coleman again and found a bagcontaining what they believed was marijuana in his right shoe. While checkinghis left shoe, they found a bag of meth.

Police let the driver of the carleave.

Coleman and Barris were taken to theCraighead County Detention Center. Coleman faces felony charges for possessionof a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is beingheld without bond until his probable cause hearing.

Barris had a hold set for IndependenceCounty.
