JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A man was arrested on Friday night after Jonesboro police found a small bag containing drugs in each of his shoes.

According to the police report, an officer pulled over a car with three people on the intersection of South Caraway and Parker Road.

When running the names of the people inside the car through dispatch, they found Caroline Barris, 34, had a warrant out of Independence County.

The officer asked the man in the back seat, Cordarryl Coleman, 27, to step out of the car for a search. After searching Coleman, officers asked everyone else to step out and a K9 continued the search of the vehicle.

The K9 found a digital scale in the backseat of the car. Police then searched Coleman again and found a bag containing what they believed was marijuana in his right shoe. While checking his left shoe, they found a bag of meth.

Police let the driver of the car leave.

Coleman and Barris were taken to the Craighead County Detention Center. Coleman faces felony charges for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held without bond until his probable cause hearing.

Barris had a hold set for Independence County.
