KENNETT, MO (KAIT) - The winter weather mix hit Kennett for the first time Monday.
Freezing rain and sleet covered the city for most of the afternoon, but the roads were drivable.
The ground was still too warm to turn the winter mixture into layers of ice.
Many in the Region 8 community said the conditions were pretty normal for this time of the year.
"It doesn't surprise me. No, not this time of the year. It's just about that time where the weather can do just about anything," Bragg City resident John Chapman said. "It looks like winter's finally set in."
Road conditions were back to normal by evening.
