CPSO: Two injured in shooting in West Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Caddo Parish deputies are investigating a shooting that sent two men to the hospital Monday night.

Deputies say around 5:30 p.m., they responded to a report of a shooting at a convenience store at West 70th Street and Buncombe Road. Deputies found 26-year-old Ricky Blomgreen, of the 3000 block of Asbury Lane, with a gunshot wound to his shoulder. Blomgreen was taken to University Health for treatment for his injuries.

Deputies say 26-year-old Vincent Efferson, of the 5400 block of Chuck A. Drive, was also shot. Efferson suffered a gunshot wound to his knee. He went by private vehicle to Willis-Knighton for his injury.

Investigators say they believe the shooting happened on Asbury Lane but are still working to determine a motive.
