BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Friends and family are making funeral arrangements right now for a man known by many in South Louisiana as the "car guy."

Les Tassin's loved ones tell us he passed away Monday afternoon after a 14-year-long battle with cancer.

Earlier this month Tassin had his last car show with the classics: Corvettes, Chevrolets, and many more. The car show took place at Miracle Place Church off Greenwell Springs Road.

Tassin's grandson said the car show is exactly what his grandfather wanted, a celebration of life.

Visitation has been set for Friday, November 29 at Seale Funeral Home in Central, LA from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. There will also be visitation at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Saturday, November 30 from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. The funeral service will follow.
