MOUNTAIN HOME, AR (KAIT)—A couple of Region 8 inmates must have watched Shawshank Redemption one time too many.

Jailers say they tore a hole in the ceiling of the detention center.  However, instead of using a poster to conceal their work, investigators say they used a shower curtain.

Jackson Holland, 19, of Briarcliff was arrested Tuesday afternoon on an outstanding felony arrest warrant.

According to Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery, on October 30 jailers noticed that a shower curtain in one of the housing units was not in its normal location.

When they pulled back the curtain they discovered that pieces of metal had been ripped out of the ceiling.

After reviewing surveillance video, jailers identified Holland as one of those involved in the vandalism.

A bench warrant was obtained charging Holland with impairing the operations of a vital public facility, which is a felony.

He is being held in lieu of $10,000 bond with a court appearance set for December 5.

A second former inmate, 40-year-old Doyle George, was previously charged in the same incident.  He was released from custody on bond on November 21.
