RidgePointe to host benefit concert for A-State Golf programs

From Arkansas State University

The Arkansas State Athletics Department announced Wednesday that Jonesboro's RidgePointe Country Club will host a benefit concert featuring the band Boom Kinetic on Friday, Dec. 13, and all the proceeds raised will be donated to the A-State men's and women's golf programs.

The concert, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., is open to the public and will be held at the RidgePointe Country Club's indoor tennis center.  Admission price is set at just $10, and tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance by calling 870-931-5000.

RidgePointe Country Club Assistant General Manager Richard Johnson and Director of Golf Deane Pappas were directly involved in arranging the concert, but Arkansas State's head men's golf coach Steve Johnson and head women's golf coach M.J. Desbiens Shaw both expressed their appreciation to the entire RidgePointe staff and Jonesboro community.

"M.J. and I are very excited that the people of RidgePointe Country Club decided to host this event for the Arkansas State golf programs," said Johnson.  "While other teams are struggling for places to play, RidgePointe and the rest of our golf community embraces the concept of helping these young men and women pursue their goals and dreams.  I hope everyone will come out, enjoy the concert, and see what RidgePointe has to offer."
