Police searching for apologetic robbery suspect

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)-- After robbing two restaurant employees at gunpoint Saturday night, Jonesboro police say the suspect apologized and said he was "just trying to hustle."

The holdup happened around 9 p.m. Saturday at the Blue Coast Burrito, 1320 Stadium Blvd.

An employee told officers he was washing dishes when a black man entered the restaurant through the back door.

The suspect pointed a gun at the employee's head and demanded cash.

A second employee then went to the office and retrieved an undisclosed amount of cash and placed it in the suspect's backpack, according to the initial police report.

The suspect then demanded the two employees to empty their wallets.

After getting the cash, the workers said the suspect apologized by saying "I'm sorry.  I'm just trying to hustle."

The suspect then ran out the back door, heading toward Matthews Avenue.

A K9 unit was called in to perform a track, but the man was not located.

The victims said the suspect was wearing a dark-colored jacket, a red face covering and was carrying a black backpack.
