Man hit by car downtown Wednesday evening

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Jonesboro police said parts of downtown Jonesboro reopened after a man was hit by a car.

In a news release, Jonesboro police said around 7:10 p.m. a 28-year-old man crossed Huntington Avenue at Main Street and was hit by a car heading eastbound.

Witness told police the light was green on Huntington and the man crossed while the "Don't Walk" symbol was lit.

The man was taken to St. Bernards Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
