STARKVILLE, MS (RNN) - Mississippi State was limited to 22 points at the half and trailed the entire second half, losing 71-61 to Texas Christian at home on Thursday night.

The Bulldogs (5-2) grabbed the first two points of the game and traded the lead with the Horned Frogs (5-3) for the first four minutes. After TCU's Kyan Anderson sunk a 3-pointer, the Horned Frogs pulled away and would dominate for the rest of the game.

The Bulldogs made only three of their 18 3-pointers, half of their 20 free throws and 24-of-56 field goals. Craig Sword led Mississippi State with 24 points, three assists and five steals.

The game was part of the Big 12/SEC Challenge.
