Deadly wreck in Izard County

Izard County (KAIT) - A man was killed in a one vehicle wreck Thursday morning in Izard County.

According to Arkansas State Police, 75-year old Paul Zerby of Violet Hill was driving on Spring Hill Road north of Violet Hill around noon on Thursday, when his vehicle ran off the road and hit a tree.

Zerby was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to officers, there was freezing rain in the area, and the road had ice on it at the time.
