Pair arrested on drug charges

KENNETT, MO (KAIT)-- Two people face drug charges after police said they found a "large amount of meth" in their car.

According to Lt. Tim Trowbridge, public information officer for the Kennett Police Department, officers stopped a vehicle at 11:35 p.m. Thursday on State Highway 412.

While investigating, officers found "a firearm and a large amount of methamphetamine," Trowbridge stated in a news release.

Officers then arrested Glenn D. Morgan, 34, and Terri Easley, 23, for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.  Morgan is also charged with felon in possession of a firearm.

Both suspects are being held in the Dunklin County Jail pending the filing of formal charges by the Missouri prosecuting attorney's office.
