NEW ORLEANS, LA (ASU) – The Sun Belt Conference (SBC) is #NOLABound as the conference is encouraging all Arkansas State University fans to participate in the #NOLABound Tailgate Tour during the league portion of this season leading up to the 2014 SBC Men's and Women's Basketball Championships in New Orleans, La.
The #NOLABound Tailgate Tour, which is presented by Cook Me Somethin' Mister! and Blue Rhino, will be making stops at various Sun Belt Conference basketball games beginning in early January up until the final weekend of conference action. The New Orleans-themed gameday tailgate will give fans a preview of the spirited festivities surrounding the 2014 Men's and Women's Basketball Championships to be held March 12-16 upon their arrival in New Orleans.
Arkansas State will be featured in the #NOLABound Tailgate Tour a conference-most four times, highlighted by a home appearance Saturday, Jan. 25, as both Red Wolves' teams host the UALR Trojans at the Convocation Center in Jonesboro, Ark. The women's contest starts at 3:05 p.m. (CT) with the men's game to follow at 7:05 p.m. (CT).
The Red Wolves is scheduled to a part of the #NOLABound Tailgate Tour on the road three times as well, starting with a Thursday, Jan. 30, matchup versus the ULM Warhawks in Monroe, La. A-State's game against the South Alabama Jaguars Thursday, Feb. 13, in Mobile, Ala., will be showcased along with the Red Wolves' matchup Saturday, Feb. 15, against the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns in Lafayette, La.

Cook Me Somethin' Mister!, featured on Food Network's "Tailgate Warriors with Guy Fieri", and its homemade recipe of jambalaya will be a primary attraction for fans to enjoy prior to the selected games as part of the #NOLABound Tailgate Tour. Fans are encouraged to visit the Sun Belt Conference tent to enjoy the exclusive cuisine and earn free giveaways from Cajun Injector, Louisiana Hot Sauce and Slap Ya Mama Cajun Seasoning as part of the league's New Orleans-themed build up to the Sun Belt Conference Basketball Championships.
The Sun Belt Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Championships will take place at New Orleans' Lakefront Arena for the next three seasons, beginning with this 2013-14 campaign. The conference men's basketball championship tournament gets underway Thursday, March 13 and will conclude with the championship game Sunday, March 16 to be aired on ESPN2 during "Selection Sunday." The conference women's basketball championships begin Wednesday, March 12 and run through Saturday, March 15 culminating with the ESPN3 televised championship contest.
Tickets to the 2014 Sun Belt Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Championships will be sold by each member institution. All students with a valid A-State student ID will be given free admission to the tournament.
