Civic Club to Host Second Forum for Jonesboro Mayoral Candidates Tonight

OCTOBER 12, 2004 - Posted 11:05 a.m. CDT

JONESBORO, AR - Jonesboro voters will get another opportunity to hear the city's seven candidates for mayor sound off on issues concerning the city when the Jonesboro Kiwanis Club hosts a mayoral forum tonight at the Nettleton Performing Arts Center.

Events will begin at 6:30 with an informal reception for the candidates.  The forum will begin at 7.

KAIT assistant news director and anchor Bob Snell will serve as a panelist for the event.

Tonight's event is the second public forum featuring the seven candidates who hope to succeed veteran Mayor Hubert Brodell, who will retire at the end of his current term.  KAIT co-sponsored a similar forum last week at the ASU Convocation Center.
