A-State Cheerleaders and Red Wolves Dancers to host cheer and dance clinics

The Arkansas State cheerleaders and Red Wolves Dancers will host cheer and dance clinics in the upcoming months.
The Arkansas State Lil' HOWLeaders Cheer Clinic is for ages 4-12 and
will be held at the Arkansas Cheer Company on 6003 Dalton Farmer Drive
in Jonesboro. The first day of the clinic will run from 5:30-7 p.m. on
Jan. 7 for the campers to learn the material
before coming back on Jan. 11 at 1 p.m. for a review and t-shirt pickup.
The participants will be taught basic cheerleading skills, the A-State
fight song routine, and other A-State cheers.
The campers will put their skills on display during halftime of both the
men's and women's basketball contests Saturday, Jan. 11, at the
Convocation Center. The A-State women's basketball team will take on
South Alabama at 3:05 p.m. before the A-State men's
basketball team plays South Alabama at 7:05 p.m. The cost of the camp
is $30 and includes the clinic cost, clinic T-shirt, and entry into both
of the basketball games.
"We are very excited to be hosting the ‘Lil Howleaders' and ‘Lil
Scarlet's Angels' again this year," A-State spirit squads
coordinator/head coach Paige Pauley said. "It's very exciting and fun
for the squads to work with the kids during the clinic and at the
performance. They do an excellent job!"
The Red Wolves Dancers will host a dance clinic for Pre-K through sixth
grade on Feb. 2 from 2-4 p.m. at the Red Wolf Center. The campers will
be taught a dance that they will perform during halftime of the A-State
men's basketball game Feb. 4 against Lyon.
Tipoff for the contest is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. at the Convocation
Center. The cost of the camp is $30 and will cover the clinic cost,
camp T-shirt, group photo, pregame snacks, and entry into the basketball
