Evansville man found guilty in violent home invasion

A Vanderburgh County jury has returned a guilty verdict in a violent home invasion. 

23-year-old Giovanni Wickare was on trial for charges that he and three others entered a woman's home in October 2012 and held her and her son at gunpoint. According to police, both victims were tied up and struck when they tried to fight back.  

Wickware will be sentenced December 30. 

Nicholas Cox, Daishar Compton and Patrick Thomas are also charged in the case. They are awaiting trials.
