New Albany to build multi-use recreation center

NEW ALBANY, IN (WAVE) - Residents in New Albany and Floyd County will soon have a new place to play.

According to our partners at the News and Tribune, a contract has been approved for a new multi-use center that will be located at the former Hoosier Panel property.

The center will around 30,000 square feet and cost $5 million to build. It will include a skate park, splash park and walking trails.

Morel Construction will build the center which is expected to be completed in the spring of 2014.
