No injuries after train clips car

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – It was a close call for one driver when he drove in front of a train.

At 7:45 p.m., MetroSafe received a call from CSX Railroad about the accident at Logan Street and East St. Catherine involving one of their trains and a passenger car.

The driver of the car told Louisville Metro police he thought E. St. Catherine continued on the other side of the tracks. However, the road was a dead end, the car became stuck and the train clipped the car.

Neither the driver of the car or the train crew was injured.

LMPD says no charges are expected.
