Arrest made in Thursday night robbery in Searcy


SEARCY, AR (KAIT) – A Hot Springs man is in jail, accused of robbing a gas station at gun point in Searcy.

According to Searcy Police, the robbery occurred Thursday night around 7:30. Police say a man walked into the Valero Gas Station at Main Street and Booth Road wearing a brown hoodie and a dark ski mask and demanded money while brandishing a pistol.

Store employees told officers the suspect then ran out of the store.

Police say they found 20-year-old Jacob Aaron Scott, of Hot Springs, while searching the area. Officers also found a plastic bag as well as a ski mask and handgun matching the description used in the robbery.

As of Thursday night, Scott has not been charged with the robbery.
