Kyria Seymour of Jonesboro died Saturday, April 19, at LeBonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN. A memorial fund has been created for an 11-year-old girl who died after she became trapped beneath a pipe in a water-filled ditch for 20 minutes.

One westbound lane of Interstate 20 near mile marker 559 in Smith County is closed after an accident Friday afternoon.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, crews are on scene at a wreck involving two 18-wheelers and multiple vehicles.

DPS was working a minor accident on the interstate earlier Friday that caused traffic to slow. An 18-wheeler hauling ten cars rear-ended another 18-wheeler which was not loaded that had stopped in the slowing traffic. This caused the unloaded 18-wheeler to go off the road to the right and into a ditch.

The semi landed on its side but the two occupants who were traveling inside were not injured. The driver of the 18-wheeler loaded with cars also escaped uninjured. Those involved in the original accident were uninjured as well.

DPS says there have been four accidents at this location Friday.

Mile marker 559 is near the exit for Lavender Road and Highway 69.
