BULLARD, TX (KLTV) -

Drivers traveling on Highway 69 south of Bullard are encouraged to seek an alternate route after a fatal accident Friday evening.

According to witnesses, multiple agencies are on scene at a one-vehicle wreck on Highway 69 near the intersection of Farm to Market 2493. It appears that a vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree. Northbound traffic is down to one lane at this time but traffic is moving slowly.

DPS confirms that an adult female died in the crash. Two children were taken to a local hospital in critical condition. No identities have been released at this time.

Drivers in the area are encouraged to use a different route if possible. This accident is directly in front of KE Bushman's Winery.

The Texas Department of Public Safety, Bullard Police Department, Bullard Fire Department and Flint-Gresham Fire Department are on scene.
