MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Police have charged two brothers in the deadly shooting that left one man dead and another wounded.

Montgomery Police say 20-year-old Walter Miles and 19-year-old Antonio Middleton have been charged with capital murder and attempted murder following the fatal shooting of 26-year-old Ricky Farris and the wounding of a second adult male.

The investigation indicates that the shooting was the result of an ongoing dispute over a stolen handgun.

Both Miles and Middleton have been transported to the Montgomery County Detention Facility where they are being held without bond.

On December 16th shortly after midnight, Montgomery Police and Fire Medics responded to a call in the 3200 block of Otis Lane to the report of a shooting. There, they found Farris and the second victim, both with gunshot wounds, inside a vehicle.

Both men were treated at the scene before being transported to a local hospital. Farris was later pronounced dead.

No additional information is known at this time as police continue to investigate.

Farris's death is Montgomery's 46th homicide of 2013.
