Harding Lady Bison jump to #12 in Coaches Poll

SEARCY (HardingSports.com) - For the third straight week, the Harding women's basketball team has been ranked in the Division II Top-25. Harding jumps up to 12th in the latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches' Poll. It's the highest the Lady Bisons have been ranked since joining the NCAA in 1997.

Harding was ranked 15th in last week's poll and 19th the week before.

The Lady Bisons have started their season with an 8-0 overall record and are 2-0 in the Great American Conference. It is the first time Harding has started their season 8-0 since the 2008 season.

It is the first time Harding has been ranked three weeks in a row. Harding's women have only appeared in the top 25 in one other season. The Lady Bisons were ranked 24th in 2008 when they started the season with 12 straight victories.

Harding is one of only nine teams in the top 25 that is still undefeated.

The Lady Bisons will back in action tonight as they participate in the Oahu Classic in Hawaii. Harding will face Notre Dame (Ohio) tonight at 8:30 p.m., local time (12:30 a.m. CT) and then face Lake Superior State on Wednesday at the same time
