East Texas man found guilty of murder

TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

An East Texas man has been found guilty of a 2012 murder that happened outside of a Tyler nightclub.

Marquel Jermon Scott, 33, of Tyler, was convicted of murder Tuesday evening in the Smith County Courthouse.


Scott was arrested in November of 2012 for fatally shooting 26-year old Keeston Fields outside The Hyena Club in North Tyler.

Scott faces up to life in prison. The sentencing phase starts on Friday.
