Jonesboro City Council gives mayor a raise

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Jonesboro Mayor Harold Perrin will make a little more money in 2014.

Members of the Jonesboro City Council voted Tuesday night to amend Mayor Perrin's salary in the 2014 budget.

His pay will increase to $115,000 plus cost of living adjustments. In 2013, Mayor Perrin's salary was $103,000.

The average salary for a mayor in a city the size of Jonesboro is $120,000.
