Local Law Enforcement Officers Honored by Attorney General

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Two law enforcement officers from Region 8 have been honored by Arkansas Attorney General Mike Beebe.

Deputy Toni Moss of the Jackson County Sheriff's Department and Corporal David Evans of the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission were honored yesterday as Outstanding Law Enforcement Officers of the Year at the second annual Attorney General's Law Enforcement Seminar in Little Rock.

A panel of officers from across Arkansas chose one winner from each congressional district, as well as an overall winner.  Moss and Evans tied for the honor in the First Congressional District.

Corporal Gary Crews of the Fayetteville Police Department was named the state's Officer of the Year.
