Heritage Bank supplies JPD with newest crime-fighter

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – The Jonesboro Police Department is giving a big "thank you" to Heritage Bank, who purchased the police department's newest police dog.

Earlier this year, JPD learned one of their dogs had cancer. The city then approached Heritage Bank to see if they'd be interested in helping out.

Wednesday, Heritage Bank presented JPD with a check for Cash, which is a fitting name for JPD's newest crime fighter.

JPD says their next goal is to raise funds for yet another police dog that recently passed away.

Their third shift police dog, Hondz, passed away last week, and the police department hopes they can find funds to replace him.
