Jonesboro police execute search warrants, 5 arrested on drug charges

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Officers with the Jonesboro Police Department executed several search warrants on Tuesday.

The first search warrant was executed at the 3400-block of Fairview shortly after 9:40 a.m. At the home, police found a revolver, over 15 grams of meth, a gram of marijuana, and a marijuana grinder. Officers arrested Derrick Moton, 34, and Roshawann Criss, 34.

They were both taken to the Craighead County Jail. Moton had felony warrants for delivery of meth.

In another police report, officers said Robin Miller, 43, and Mekiala Kendrick-Jones, 28, were both arrested on felony drug charges. Miller was arrested for possession of meth, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Kendrick-Jones was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. She also faces a misdemeanor charge for possession of marijuana.

They were both taken to the Craighead County Jail.

Officers with the Jonesboro Police Department also conducted a parole search on Tuesday, in Charles Wright's apartment found at the 1400-block of Market Place.

Officers found a found a bag with a white substance inside an orange prescription bottle inside Wright's room. Wright, 34, claimed he didn't remember what the substance was.

Officers also found a sheet of aluminum folded into a boat, which they said is usually used to heat and smoke meth.

Officers also found another wad of aluminum foil with white powdery residue on it.

Wright was taken to the Craighead County Jail. He was searched one last time before being booked and an officer found a clear bag that contained a clear rock-like substance.

He faces felony charges for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
