Jonesboro police execute search warrants, 5 arrested on drug charges

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Officers with the Jonesboro PoliceDepartment executed several search warrants on Tuesday.

The first search warrant was executed at the 3400-block ofFairview shortly after 9:40 a.m. At the home, police found a revolver, over 15grams of meth, a gram of marijuana, and a marijuana grinder. Officers arrestedDerrick Moton, 34, and Roshawann Criss, 34.

They were both taken to the Craighead County Jail. Moton hadfelony warrants for delivery of meth.

In another police report, officers said Robin Miller, 43, andMekiala Kendrick-Jones, 28, were both arrested on felony drug charges. Millerwas arrested for possession of meth, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Kendrick-Jones was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.She also faces a misdemeanor charge for possession of marijuana.

They were both taken to the Craighead County Jail.

Officers with the Jonesboro Police Department also conducted aparole search on Tuesday, in Charles Wright's apartment found at the 1400-blockof Market Place.

Officers found a found a bag with a white substance inside anorange prescription bottle inside Wright's room. Wright, 34, claimed he didn't rememberwhat the substance was.

Officers also found a sheet of aluminum folded into a boat, whichthey said is usually used to heat and smoke meth.

Officers also found another wad of aluminum foil with whitepowdery residue on it.

Wright was taken to the Craighead County Jail. He was searched onelast time before being booked and an officer found a clear bag that contained aclear rock-like substance.

He faces felony charges for possession of a controlled substanceand possession of drug paraphernalia.
