TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

U.S. Marshals have arrested Angel Efrain Cruz, 19, at the Port of Entry in Nogales, Arizona early this morning.

According to Deputy Daniel Leyva, on July 28, 2013, a drive by shooting occurred in Tucson near the 3900 block of south Sixth Avenue.

After the shooting, a man identified as 32-year-old John Drumm was found and later was pronounced dead at the hospital.

A second person in the immediate area managed to escape the gunfire and violence without injuries.

An arrest warrant was issued for Cruz for the alleged felonious crimes of First Degree Murder, Drive-by shooting, aggravated assault, and possession of a deadly weapon/dangerous instrument.

U.S. Marshals along with detectives from the Tucson Police Department immediately began investigating the whereabouts of Cruz.

Through the investigation, information was developed that led the deputy U.S. Marshals assigned to the specialized U.S. Marshal' Mexico Investigative Liaison Unit to engage the assistance with Mexican authorities.

Yesterday, Cruz was taken into custody without incident by Mexican authorities.
