Police: Fast food worker in Jonesboro stole money from customers

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A fast food restaurant employee received a citation after she stole money from her customers.

According to Officer Bryan Davis, Dezirae Schulz, 18, was cited with a misdemeanor charge for theft of $1,000 or less.

Officer Davis found that Schulz charged an extra $10 on customers who paid with credit cards and pocketed the cash.

Schulz told police that at least 7 people were affected. McDonalds said they will reimburse all the customers affected.

She still had the money with her and has then returned it to the restaurant.

Schulz received a citation and was scheduled to appear in court at 1 p.m. December 30.
