Kyria Seymour of Jonesboro died Saturday, April 19, at LeBonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN. A memorial fund has been created for an 11-year-old girl who died after she became trapped beneath a pipe in a water-filled ditch for 20 minutes.

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Jonesboro police arrested two people after they found drugs inside a woman's bra and another man's underwear this weekend.

Shortly after 11 p.m. on Sunday, an officer saw Tonya Romano, 39, at the Dollar General store on Gee Street. The officer found Romano had warrants through Jonesboro and Craighead County.

The officer asked Romano to exit the store and placed her into handcuffs while they search her and her truck.

While searching her purse, police found four small bags of methamphetamine with over 11 grams, a meth pipe with residue, a bag of unused needles, several prescription pills, and small empty plastic bags.

Nothing was found inside the rest of the truck. When she was taken to the Craighead County Jail, a detention officer found a bag with over 4 grams of meth inside her bra.

She was charged with a felony for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of meth with intent to deliver.

Romano is still in jail in lieu of a $3,427 cash bond and probable cause hearing.

In a non-related case, Jonesboro police charged David Burgess, 24, for possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver after a traffic stop.

The officer pulled him over at the intersection of Main and Johnson because of an illegal window tint.

Burgess was cited for the illegal tint. In the police report, the officer explained he knew Burgess was on parole and began to search him. The officer said he knew Burgess, "kept controlled substance in his underwear area."

The officer found a plastic bag with suspected marijuana inside his underwear. Another officer took Burgess to his home to continue a search of his residence.
