Police investigate whether Henrico bank robbery tied to others

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) -

Police in Richmond, Henrico and Chesterfield are comparing a bank robbery Friday with a string of other recent heists in Central Virginia.

The latest robbery came at the EVB bank on West Broad Street, not far from the Tuckernuck Square Shopping Center, around 5 p.m. Friday. Police say a man passed a note demanding money to a teller, then took off with the cash. He was last seen walking on Homeview Drive towards Parham Road. 

Henrico Police say he is a black male, 6'0"-6'2", 170-185 pounds, wearing a black hat, sunglasses, light colored button up shirt, and black pants. 

Several other banks have been held up in recent weeks and detectives are now working to see if this suspect is linked to those robberies.
