Authorities investigate Brookside bank robbery

Authorities are investigating a bank robbery in Brookside.

Police said the Bank Midwest, located at 6249 Brookside Blvd., was robbed about 2:20 p.m. Monday.

A man entered the bank and brandished a weapon, a spokesman for the FBI said. A teller gave money to the man, who then left the area.

Police searched the area but no arrests have been made. The man is described as a white man in his early 50s. He is about 5'7" tall.
