Arrests Made in Pornography Case in Trumann

October 14, 2004 -- Posted at: 11:00pm CDT

TRUMANN, AR - Children living on Sharon Street in Trumann play near the home at 318. Investigators believe kids their age and younger have been sexually abused there.

"One of the victims is age two," explained Brent Davis, Second Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney.

Brandy L. Hamilton and Houston Hamilton live at that house. Brandy has been charged with engaging children in sexually explicit conduct for use in visual or print medium. Houston has been charged with tampering with evidence pandering or possession of sexually explicit material in visual or print medium with a minor.

"A number of the people involved have family relationships, and I think the investigation is looking at other people that may also be connected," added Davis.

He is tight-lipped about this case, and won't say how many victims have been accounted for so far.

Brent Davis said, "It's very difficult to tell in some instances whether a person that the investigators have become aware of exactly whether they're a victim or a perpetrator."

Six different residents living near the Hamilton home were asked to speak on camera, but all of them were too scared. However, they said that they were very shocked by the arrests. They went on to add that they never saw any suspicious activity, but young people are often seen entering and leaving the home.

Two juveniles have also been arrested in connection with this case for engaging children in sexual acts. Brent Davis believes more victims and suspects will surface over the next few weeks after additional interviews are conducted.

Houston Hamilton posted bond shortly after being arrested on Monday. His bond was set at $10,000. Brandy Hamilton was arrested October 6th. She is still being held at the Poinsett County Jail on a $250,000 bond. Both of them are scheduled to be back in court December 10th.
