Suspect named in New Year's Day shooting on 23rd St.

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

A man who was shot on 23rd St. early New Year's Day was transported to the Midtown Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The incident happened outside of the 23rd St. Grill restaurant.

Jakevious Corderro Luckey is wanted as a suspect. He is 25-years-old, stands 6' 1" tall and weighs 216 lbs.

This is an ongoing investigation. More details will be added as they become available.

    According to a Facebook post made by the Cross County Sheriff's Office, a preliminary autopsy report was released Tuesday regarding two infants who were found in a suitcase near a ditch last week.
