Jonesboro welcomes first 2014 baby

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro welcomed its first New Year's baby early Wednesday morning.

Logan O'Bryan Cook was born at 2:13 a.m. Logan is six pounds, 15 ounces and 20.4 inches long.

His parents, Allison Kennedy and Brandon Cook, said Logan may have planned to be the first baby born in 2014.

"We came in at five o'clock in the morning and he waited all day. Then as soon as it hit midnight, he started wanting to come out. Ever since then, he's been up to mischief," Cook said.

Kennedy said Logan is also special because they have not had a boy in the family for 52 years.
