MOBILE, AL (ASU) — The Arkansas State football team was treated to a luncheon and tour of the USS Alabama Saturday as part of the activities leading up to Sunday's GoDaddy Bowl.
Players, coaches, administrators, staff members and fans enjoyed a barbeque lunch before going on a walking tour of the USS Alabama and the USS Drum, the oldest American submarine on display in the world. One of the highlights of the Red Wolves' GoDaddy Bowl experience, the players spent time taking pictures and videos while touring the battleship, submarine, and the various aircraft in the park.
Prior to the luncheon, Arkansas State went through a light walk-through and put the final touches on its game day preparations. Rounding out the day for the Red Wolves will be the Mardi Gras Parade at 6:30 p.m., followed by a pep rally and fireworks display.
The Red Wolves (7-5) will take on the Ball State Cardinals (10-2) in the Jan. 5 GoDaddy Bowl. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. and the game will be televised on ESPN.
