CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A 48-year-old Warrensville Heights man pled guilty Monday to causing an accident that killed a mom and her two children. The accident happened on March 29, 2013.

Eric Calhoun ran a red light at the intersection of Northfield Road and Berwyn Drive in Bedford, striking a car driven by Maria Thorpe.

Thorpe, who was four months pregnant at the time, as well as her 8-year-old daughter and 5-year-old daughter, died as a result of the crash. Thorpe's 10- and 12-year-old daughters survived.

Calhoun was under the influence of both PCP and alcohol at the time of the incident.

After Calhoun's guilty plea Monday, Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Judge David Matia sentenced him to 20 years behind bars.
