PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - Fire crews in Paragould said they worked two fully involved house fires on Monday night. The cause of one of those fires has been determined.

Paragould fire dispatch said the first fire happened around 5 p.m. on North 8th Street. According to Paragould Fire Chief Kevin Lange, the fire happened while a heater was being used to thaw frozen pipes inside the home.

Crews were also called out to Marion Street for a home fire around 7p.m. The house was a total loss and caused damage to another home and vehicles. Chief Lange said the cause of that fire is being investigated.

There were people inside both homes at the time of the fires, but no injuries were reported.
