1 taken to hospital after car hits utility pole in south Nashville

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A road in south Nashville was shut down after a single-vehicle crash Wednesday morning.

Officials say a car hit a utility pole on the 5700 block of Edmondson Pike near Nipper's Corner.

The person inside the car was injured and was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The person's condition is not known at this time.
