OZARK, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas highway officials say ice and slush have accumulated on roadways in the western half of the state.

At mid-afternoon Wednesday, many major roads from DeQueen and Nashville north to Fayetteville and Harrison had ice patches and slush.

In the Harrison area, some roads were covered with snow. Icy roads were reported around Ozark and Fort Smith, and along the Pig Trail north of Ozark.

Ice patches were also reported between Sheridan and Fordyce along U.S. 167 and on U.S 270 from east of Malvern to Pine Bluff.
