La Vergne water supply running low after recent cold snap

LA VERGNE, TN (WSMV) -

The city of La Vergne is urging people to watch their water use as the city recovers from this week's bitterly cold temperatures.

Leaders say there's been a huge demand on La Vergne's water supply, because everyone's been running their faucets to prevent frozen pipes.

Now, two of the city's tanks are way below normal levels.

City officials ask residents to turn faucets off when the temperatures are above freezing and to check the meter by their homes for signs of any leaks.
