Missouri man arrested for stabbing girlfriend

STEELE, MO (KAIT) – A Steele man is behind bars after stabbing his girlfriend in the leg.

According to Chief of Police, Billy Stanfield, officers were dispatched to South Walnut Street on Wednesday night for a disturbance. After arriving they found Tracey King, 46, bleeding with a stab wound to her leg.

The victim's boyfriend, 37-year-old Anquan Williams, was arrested for the assault.

King was airlifted to the Med in Memphis to be treated for her injuries.

Williams was charged with domestic assault, armed criminal action, and tampering with physical evidence.

He is currently being held in the Pemiscot County Jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
