JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – An Arkansas State University professor has been appointed the new chancellor for Louisiana State University Alexandria.
Dr. Daniel Howard is a tenured full professor at ASU and served as its vice-chancellor for academic affairs and provost and as interim chancellor. According to a news release from ASU, Dr. Howard was announced as LSUA's new chancellor on Friday.
In the release, Dr. Charles Welch, president of the Arkansas State University System said, "We congratulate Dr. Howard on his selection as the chancellor of LSU Alexandria and wish him and Anne well as they embark on this new stage of his career."
Howard will begin as LSUA chancellor on March 1, pending approval by the LSU Board of Supervisor.
